How to Make A Volcano and Other Experiments at Home

Need a fun activity to do with your students or children, but at the same time educating them? You might come to the right place, because we are going to create a volcano in your own house with items that is easy to find at home.

Besides volcano we are also going to mix stuffs and create lot of fascinating thing for your kid to play and enjoy.

First of all, to create a volcano you’ll need :

1. Sand/ clay/ paper mache
2. Bottle/ jar/ small container
3. Food coloring ( lava color = red + yellow )
4. Vinegar
5. Dish soap
6. Baking soda

What you need to do :

1. Go to a sandy or pavement area
2. Create a mountain made out of sand/ clay/ paper mache
3. Mix the vinegar, dish soap and food coloring into the bottle/ jar/ small container
4. Put the bottle inside the mountain, but with the lid slight higher than the mountain

• LAVA LAMP

To create a lava lamp, first of all you’ll need :

1. Transparent bottle/ jar
2. Vegetable oil
3. Water
4. Fizzing tablets
5. Food coloring (any color you desire)

What you need to do :

1. Pour 1/3 of water in the bottle/ jar
2. Pour the rest of the bottle/ jar with vegetable oil and wait until the water and oil separate
3. When they are already separate, you can put drops of food coloring as much as you like
4. Wait until the food coloring reach the water and blends out
5. When everything already in their place, start to drop the fizzing tablet and watch how beautiful it is when they are bubbling
6. Add a light under it to create a more fascinating view

• COLOR CHANGING FLOWER

To create a plain white flower of yours into other color, you’ll need :

1. White flowers
2. Bottle/ jar
3. Water
4. Food coloring (any color you desire)

What you need to do :

1. Prepare the bottle/ jar
2. Fill it with water a half way through
3. Put some drops of food coloring in any color you want your flower to be
4. Damp your white flower in it with its stem
5. Leave for approximately 5 to 6 hours
6. You’ll have a flower in your favorite color in no time
