How Do You Make A Rainbow Science Project

You can do this experiments with your kids or students and make them amaze by it. We are going to show you 3 experiments on making rainbow.

Method 1

In this first method, you’ll need :

1. 1 big glass
2. 6 small cups
3. Sugar

5. 6 Food coloring (red,orange,yellow,green,blue,purple) *optional*
6. Labels

How Do You Make A Rainbow Science Project:

1. Named each cups with labels (Cup A, Cup B, Cup C, etc. )
2. Fill the 6 small cups with same amount of water
3. Give different color of food coloring in each cups
4. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar on Cup A
5. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar on Cup B
6. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar on Cup C
7. Add 4 tablespoons of sugar on Cup D
8. Add 5 tablespoons of sugar on Cup E
9. Add 6 tablespoons of sugar on Cup F
10. When all of the solutions are ready, starts making the rainbow
11. Start pouring the solutions which has the biggest concentration of sugar to the solutions which has the smallest concentration of sugar
12. Remember to pour it gently
13. Voila! You’ll have rainbow in a glass

Method 2

In this second method, you’ll need :

1. A bowl
2. Water
3. Mirror
4. White paper
5. Sunlight

What you need to do:

1. Go to an area which has a lot of sunlight
2. Fill half of the bowl
3. Half of the mirror inside the water (half out the water)
4. Tilt the mirror to direct sunlight (be careful not to look at the sun directly or to the mirror reflection)
5. Move around to catch the rainbow in the white paper

Method 3

In this last method, you’ll need :

1. White flowers
2. 2-3 Bottles/ jars
3. Water
4. Food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)

What you need to do:

1. Prepare bottles/ jars
2. Fill each bottles or jars with water for about a half way through
3. Put some drops of food coloring in each bottles or jars
4. Split the stem into 2 to 3 for about 10 cm in length
5. Damp each stem into 2 to 3 different color.
6. Leave for approximately 5 to 6 hours
7. Voila you’ll have rainbow flower in 2 to 3 color
